What will you be doing day to day?
- Support projects through assisting with planning, technical solutions, coordination, and report writing through all stages of a project development, while developing capabilities and technical skills
- Work across multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored fire safety strategies for complex buildings, supported by engineering principles
- Assess fire risks and determine overall systems and structures required to achieve safe occupation and evacuation
- Use physics, chemistry and CFD software simulate fire and smoke movement in buildings
- Use human behaviour principles and egress modelling software to simulate occupant evacuation for complex buildings
- Engage with external and internal stakeholders as part of the design and implementation
- Review and witness performance of mechanical smoke control system, and water-based fire suppression systems during construction
- Exposure to use of different building materials, structures and buildings, fire systems, human behaviour and safety, and the prevention, detection, and suppression of fire
- Assist Senior and Project Engineers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Australian Citizen, PR or NZ Citizen.
Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation
