If you wish to grow and develop within a dynamic, stable team, carrying out projects of a varied nature, join us as a Contracts Administrator within the Major Metro Asset Maintenance Programs (GPMA-STM) team.
GPMA is responsible for the replacement of fixed equipment that has reached the end of its useful life. The projects carried out are very varied: construction of ventilation stations, accessibility projects (addition of elevators inside existing stations), various electrical deliverables (medium and low voltage) and addition or modernization of telecommunications equipment.

Your responsibilities:
- Act as an authorized representative (official spokesperson and one-stop shop) for the Project Office with contractors, for contracts and construction mandates on which you would be assigned.
- Administer and monitor implementation contracts, ensure compliance with contract clauses, and manage contractor requests for assistance and transportation, contract change requests, claims, provisional and final acceptance.
- See to the operational feasibility of the works and study their implications with respect to the operating constraints of the metro and translate them into specific clauses in the contracts.
- Participate with other members of the project team in the preparation of tender documents and the analysis of bids.
- Convene, lead and take minutes of start-up and administrative meetings with contractors.
- Receive and manage all communications with the contractor, ensure traceability of documentation and maintenance of files.
- For its contracts, ensure the follow-up of costs and schedules for the realization of the work and advise the project manager of any overruns and participate in the development of the contingency plan, if applicable.
- Establish and apply the control methods to determine the quantities executed by the contractor for the payment of progressive settlements. Validate acceptance of quantities claimed by the contractor.
- Coordinate and negotiate with the contractor, the project team and the operator the requests for assistance and transportation in accordance with the work in progress, the schedules, the specifications of the contract and the constraints of the operated environment.
- Review contract change requests, negotiate costs with the contractor and prepare recommendations.
- Maintain document control logs such as contract changes, chargebacks, TQ (technical field issues).
- Follow up with supervisors and record non-conformances, anomalies, daily reports and progress evaluation.
- Ensure traceability of anomalies, observations, non-conformances, and corrective action requests.
- Follow-up on the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Ensure the completion of equipment and system integration tests.
- Recommend interim and final acceptance of work and manage the transfer of works to the owner.
- Ensure the release of holdbacks.
- Establish the historical record of the contract and the contractor's performance for the closing and archiving of the contract.
- Ensure transfer of equipment to operations.
Your background
- College degree (DEC) or university degree (BAC) in engineering or architecture.
- 5 years’ experience in construction contract administration, ideally with the client.
- Experience in project management during implementation.
