Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • High level comprehension of air quality regulations and their relationship to CEQA/NEPA assessments.
  • Familiarity with appropriate air quality impact assessment guidance/requirements such as those issued by the US EPA, CARB, OEHHA, and local air districts.
  • Familiarity with air emissions modeling software, such as ISC/AERMOD, HARP, CALINE, CalEEMod, Nonroad/OFFROAD, and MOVES/EMFAC, and other emission modeling methods such as US EPA AP-42.
  • Position requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures, good organization skills, strong verbal communication skills, and a passion for high quality of work.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. - Ability to analyze data and prepare written reports.
  • Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Prior to employment with Stantec the candidate must successfully pass a physical and drug/alcohol screening.
  • 1-3 years of environmental compliance experience; consulting and permitting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with state and federal air quality/environmental regulations.
  • Dispersion modeling/Health Risk Assessments experience highly desirable.
  • Strong MS Office computer skills; advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and Access desired.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with project teams, employees, department management, contractors and consultants in a professional setting.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare written reports.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, adhering to project budgets and schedules.
  • Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience

  • BS in environmental science, engineering, or related degree; MS/PhD a plus.
  • 1 year experience in air quality related work

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
