Archaeology Field Technician
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to identify in the field precontact and historic artifacts from Southeastern U.S. region
- Must be physically fit and able to navigate rugged conditions on foot, often in humid conditions, and complete physically demanding tasks
- Ability to navigate (i.e. orienteering) in remote outdoor conditions with field maps
- Ability to work on an iPad to collect data and keep track of artifacts and data on a daily basis
- Valid driver's license
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's of Arts preferably in anthropology, archaeology, history or related field
- Demonstrated experience in a field setting as an archaeologist, surveyor, environmental technician, or other professional role
- Possess a technical specialty within archaeology/anthropology
Compensation
- Compensation is based on experience and final amounts are determined at the offer phase, however, the anticipated range for this position is $20.00-24.00 per hour
