Experience + Abilities
- Awareness of and willingness to learn more about all phases of the architectural documentation process and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- Awareness of and willingness to learn more about application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.
- Awareness of and willingness to learn more about building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards.
- Basic ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.
- Basic ability to develop floor plans, wall sections, and details.
- Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.- Ability to engage in creative and critical thought, communicating concepts and ideas to others effectively through hand sketches and graphic representation.
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material to communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written)
Software Proficiency
- Revit competency required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Experience with additional 3D modeling software (Sketchup, Rhino). is preferred
- Experience with rendering software is beneficial (Enscape, Lumion).
- Additional experience in computational design software is beneficial (Grasshopper, Dynamo).
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
A mix of remote work and typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
