Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Familiarity with NEPA, NHPA, CEQA and general plans as they pertain to architectural history;
  • Strong technical writing and editing skills;
  • Developing sections of EIR/EIS documents;
  • Experience developing MOA, PA, treatment and management plans, and mitigation;
  • Archival research experience, especially federal, state and local repositories;
  • Experience developing budgets and project scoping;
  • Strong written and oral communications skills and the ability to maintain positive client relationships;
  • A desire and willingness to work on a collaborative and productive team;
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to difficult, often stressful situations;
  • Must have a good driving record and valid Driver's License.
  • Prior to employment with Stantec, this position will require the successful completion of a physical and drug screen, background and reference screenings.

 

Education and Experience

  • An advanced degree (M.A., M.S., MHC) in public history, heritage conservation, architectural history, historic preservation or related field that meets the Secretary of Interior Professional Qualification Standards for Architectural History and History.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as an architectural historian/built environment specialist working in the cultural resources management industry or a closely related field.
