About the role

Financial reporting plays a key part of our business support services.  Your ability to assist in the provision and interpretation of our financial and accounting reports in a timely and accurate manner, will make this opportunity a success.  The financial reporting team forms part of the finance group who also look after payroll, accounts payable/receivable and project accounting.    

In more detail the role includes:

·         Bank payment processing, journal and month end reconciliations

·         Reconcile the bank accounts and process bank journals

·         Revalue foreign bank accounts

·         Updating and preparing 12 month rolling cash forecast

·         Liaison with bank arranging back account signatories etc.

·         Setup and maintain automatic payments

·         Post NZ fortnightly and manual payroll journals

·         Prepare month end salary accrual journals

·         Prepare monthly southern Cross journal and reconciliations

·         Preparing, filing, and reconciling Australian and New Zealand GST

·         Monthly reconciliations including accounts receivable and WIP

·          Preparing payroll clearing account reconciliation and salary accrual journals

To be successful for this role you'll need:

A tertiary degree, plus a minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience, preferably using Oracle or similar ERP system.  You will be experienced in Microsoft Office packages, with particular emphasis on Excel.  As well as being organised and understanding new processes quickly, you’ll demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.  Meeting a variety of deadlines is essential, so your time management skills will be exemplary. There will still be time for some fun and with our location in Hazeldean Business Park, Hagley Park and lots of other amenities are only a short walk away.
