- Extensive experience with public and private sectors in major Northwest Region
- Demonstrated responsibility, maturity, and commitment to a team driven environment are key capabilities, including an ability to communicate effectively, lead teams, develop strong internal relationships, and foster a culture of collaboration
- Desire and the ability to lead and contribute on multiple levels within the design process
- Demonstrated effectiveness in building and maintaining client relationships; Proven ability to translate those relationships into winning new work opportunities
- Conduct presentations and project interviews
- Excellent creative and critical thinking skills
- Ability to integrate sustainability in all aspects of planning and design
- Well-versed in local, regional, and national trends in planning, landscape architecture and urban design
- Ability to successfully scope and deliver multi-disciplinary projects
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills
- Understanding of graphic applications (either hand or digital) including AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- High-level understanding and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, LandFX, Sketch-Up, or similar platforms at a supervisory level of effectiveness
- Possesses excellent time management skills and has a thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources
- Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions and how they apply to design projects
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license required
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program. Minimum of 15 years of experience. Licensure as a Landscape Architect in Oregon.
Candidate’s work experience should demonstrate appropriate level of responsibility, work group leadership skills, business development, understanding of the long-term view in building client relationships, superior customer service and communication skills both written and graphic.
You will work in an open-concept office setting. Local travel will be required for attending client or public meetings, scoping new assignments, and participating in internal meetings with staff in Community Development and across all business lines.
