  • Excellent mining industry relationships with a history of proven success in growing and managing sales while delivering projects profitably.
  • Highly motivated with the ambition and passion to seize this significant opportunity and develop further within the organization.
  • Credible, possessing the gravitas and knowledge to engage with senior leaders in client organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial – able to operate in a mature, global business line but not simply rely on the global brand in order to generate business.
  • High achiever with a track record of success in areas of expertise and propensity to be the best at what they do.
  • Recognition as a leader/expert in the market sector by clients, staff, and peers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Intellectually strong with an excellent academic background. A successful track record in leading others, fostering client relationships, and building high-performance teams. Excellent conceptual capabilities for thinking strategically and execute tactically to win business.
  • Sound understanding of the principles and practices of market positioning, planning and winning sales and an interest in developing and practicing this further.
  • A team player focused on doing what is best overall for the company not just the sector. 
  • Willingness to continue to be accountable to the client for project outcomes even when day-to-day delivery is being done by others.
  • Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Education and Experience

  • Relevant engineering or science degree preferred.  Other relevant degrees will be considered.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience/history working within the global mining sector in a senior position with strong client relationships at executive levels in client organizations.
  • Ability to travel.
