The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Formal or informal experience in leading a diverse group. Previous consulting experience considered an asset.
• Active and empathetic listener, experienced in navigating difficult personal and professional conversations aimed at a positive and productive outcome.
• Committed and supportive delegator who is highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize tasks across different platforms.
• Confident and collaborative decision maker.
• Effective verbal and written communicator.
• Possessing high integrity and committed to honest and open communication.
• Receptive to constructive feedback from a variety of sources, and committed to leveraging feedback into personal and operational growth and improvement.
• Proven background in providing positive and constructive feedback to staff.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Education and Experience

• Experienced and/or educated in a natural sciences or environmental sciences related field.
• Familiarity with relevant provincial and federal regulations and guidelines.
• Experienced in environmental field work.
• Familiarity with field safety and equipment.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
