Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Civil or Structural Engineer who has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Familiarity with structural systems, members, and forces
- Knowledge of material deterioration of concrete, steel, and timber
- Experienced in common computer applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access) along with experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Skills regarding the management of large data sets, knowledge of database structures, Microsoft Access Database development, VBA, XML, & C++ Languages is a plus
- Familiarity with the requirements of the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS)
- Be a detailed oriented and highly organized individual that can demonstrate initiative and commitment to a final professional product
- Self-motivated team partner with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel in/out of state approximately two weeks or more each month
- Works well in a team environment in both field and office assignments with the ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Must have proof of valid and unrestricted driver's license
- Prior to employment this position will require the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering with EIT / FE certification.
- Two years of experience preferred. Previous co-op/Internship experience also preferred.
Position will require work in an office and in a field setting up to 50% of the time. Typical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
