The Business Leader inspires and guides the region’s multidisciplinary teams to consistently produce outstanding results. By aligning talent, resources, and opportunity, you will champion both operational excellence and sustainable business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop quality relationships with new and existing clients to ensure profitable repeat business through the delivery of great work to budget.

  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders to drive successful business outcomes, specifically Framework Managers, to resource and deliver the framework and panel contracts.

  • Ensure an appropriate staff experience and availability by recruiting and developing people in conjunction with the Regional Director, Water NZ.

  • Meet or exceed group net profit by ensuring revenue targets, project profitability, and staff utilisation budgets are achieved.

  • Define and set business strategies and financial plans that meet and contribute to company goals with the Regional Director, Water NZ.

  • Review and monitor individual team members’ and project managers’ performance. Ensure that all projects are adequately staffed, planned, and meet clients’ expectations.

  • Manage and maintain own base workload to expected levels and standards.

  • Coordinate with the technical development teams for product and service development, marketing initiatives and resource allocation.

Your strong commercial instincts, sharp business acumen, and inclusive, proactive leadership style set you apart.

 

You’ll bring deep industry connections, proudly representing Stantec at key forums and industry events. You know how to build and strengthen relationships with government and private-sector clients, opening doors and shaping opportunities.

 

As a senior leader within our New Zealand business, you’ll collaborate closely with leaders across ANZ to drive and deliver our regional and global growth strategies.
