CAD Planning Designer - Co-op

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of land use planning design.
• Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Sound understanding of design concepts, and knowledge of the engineering and site-specific influences to design, such as grading and servicing design, landscape design, and transportation.
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
• Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material.
• Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Education and Experience

Minimum of one (1) year completed within a technical degree/diploma/certificate in Urban, Rural or Regional Planning Technician or related field. Academic performance should be demonstrated through applications and/or transcripts. 

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
