CAD Technician

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D to create, operate, QC 3D tin and DEM surfaces, generate cross section and profile views, prepare grading plans, and determine cut/fill quantities along alignments for beach nourishment, dredging, coastal structures, living shoreline and restoration projects.
• Ability to create plan view/cross section drawing sets for permit plans and construction bid documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance and permitting regulations pertaining to the State DEP, USACE, USFWS, and other state regulatory agencies a plus.
• Possess strong technical and analytical skills.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills – demonstrated team work.
• Have a passion for working in a high-paced consulting firm environment on engineering projects.
• Willing to travel and work on project locations for short periods of time.
• Self-motivated, hard-worker capable of working both independently and in a team setting to meet project deadlines.
• Desire to gain knowledge and experience and advance career through training.

Education and Experience

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
