Junior / Cadet BIM Technician – Build your career with NSW Buildings at Stantec
At Stantec, we design with community in mind. We’re seeking a Junior or Cadet BIM Technician who wants to grow, contribute, and be part of a team that delivers meaningful, sustainable projects.
We have a strong backlog of work throughout Australia and are looking to add to our team a modeler who is at the start of their career and up for the challenge of working in a vibrant consulting engineering team.
You can start with us as a Cadet where you have limited experience but have studied a TAFE or IAT qualification in BIM, or as a Junior where you have up to 2 years industry experience in building services modeling – electrical, mechanical, hydraulics or fire protection.
As a Junior / Cadet BIM Technician you will work on building design projects and
- Prepare engineering documentation and undertake coordination using predominantly Revit, ACC, Revizto and other software and platforms.
- Undertake a range of multi-discipline design detailing duties related to our building services projects to provide a technical service to internal and external clients.
- Execute modeling and drafting work within time constraints to a professional standard.
- Assist with computational design tasks like coding and automation

Qualifications
- Technical understanding of Revit modelling, drafting and building design coordination.
- Relevant qualifications or with a background in MEP contracting / design.
- A desire to continue development in the Revit/BIM Design package space.
- Able to do troubleshooting issues with BIM.
- Organisational skills to prioritise work with the team to meet business and project delivery needs
- Ability to work independently once set a task
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
