Civil Aviation Engineer - EIT
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for significant periods of time, ability to walk over/traverse uneven ground.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to take initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, as well as relevant software programs which may include, AutoTurn, AviPlan, HydroCAD, and pavement design tools is highly desirable.
- The desire to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- The desire to work on active airfield construction sites which may be remote from their home location. Our current project portfolio is across New England and the Caribbean.
- An OSHA-10 Certification is desirable.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering/Management Technology from ABET accredited program.
- Engineering Intern Certification (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) with the aim of obtaining full professional licensure.
- A minimum of 3 years of early career experience at an engineering consultant or construction related firm is highly desirable.
- Position will primarily work in both an office and a construction setting.
