Civil Designer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to research agency and industry applicable codes.
- Understanding of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of civil systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Possesses excellent time-management skills.
- Ability to discuss and deliver on task assignment deliverables, schedule, and budget targets.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with others to deliver accurate and complete deliverables.
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting to provide creative and critical input.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent AutoCAD Civil 3D experience in land development and roadway design.
- Self-starter who can work independently and with a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree is preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience. Local project resume and experience strongly preferred. Experience in parking lot and road design, storm water management, site and roadway grading, erosion, and sediment control.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
