Civil Engineer

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related degree;

• P.E. (Professional Engineer) certification or capability to obtain P.E. within 2 years;

• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills;

• Experience with FEMA hydrologic and hydraulic studies;

• Proficient with hydrologic and hydraulic models, including HEC-RAS;

• Proficient with ESRI software, including ArcGIS;

• Proven ability to function independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment to successfully achieve group goals;

• Passion for water resources, flood risk reduction and computer modeling; and

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related degree;

• Knowledge of the National Flood Insurance Program;

• Experience with HEC-HMS, XPSWIMM, and Python Programming;

• Proficient in RASPlot; and

• Ability to communicate clearly via phone, email, and in person to internal and external clients.
