Civil Engineer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related degree;
P.E. (Professional Engineer) certification or capability to obtain P.E. within 2 years;
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills;
Experience with FEMA hydrologic and hydraulic studies;
Proficient with hydrologic and hydraulic models, including HEC-RAS;
Proficient with ESRI software, including ArcGIS;
Proven ability to function independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment to successfully achieve group goals;
Passion for water resources, flood risk reduction and computer modeling; and
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related degree;
Knowledge of the National Flood Insurance Program;
Experience with HEC-HMS, XPSWIMM, and Python Programming;
Proficient in RASPlot; and
Ability to communicate clearly via phone, email, and in person to internal and external clients.
