Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of Civil/Geotechnical Engineering design including dams, levees, landfills, ground improvements, storm water/drainage, roadways, erosion and sediment control, and grading.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Understanding of Civil/Geotechnical Engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, engineering drawings, and other similar material.
  • Basic experience in Microsoft Office, as well as relevant discipline software programs, which may include AutoCAD Civil3D, GeoStudio, gINT, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering. Masters preferred. Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. Co-op/Internship experience preferred. Passed the FE exam and must have the ability to obtain PE in 3 to 5 years, depending on experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
