Your Capabilities and Credentials
The candidate must have these basic qualifications/requirements:
- Working knowledge of Autocad and/or MicroStation
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to serve as PM on multi-disciplined (vertical and horizontal construction) design projects and manage subconsultants or in house staff (architects and mechanical and electrical engineers)
- Proven ability to maintain relationships with existing clients and establish trust / credibility
- Ability to collaborate with others to accomplish goals in a team atmosphere
- Ability to travel as necessary to satisfy job requirements
Preferred skills that will assist the candidate in succeeding in the role are:
- Experience managing projects for public sector clients
- Proficiency with Cadd design software such as Autocad Civil3D or Inroads
- Experience with NC site/civil project related permitting procedures and regulations
- Proficiency in developing technical specifications and construction cost estimates
- Ability to manage multi-disciplined (vertical and horizontal construction) design processes and requirements and ability to manage vertical design consultants or in house staff (architects and mechanical and electrical engineers)
- Familiarity with Federal DoD contractual procedures and practices and execution of delivery order or MSA type contracts
- Strong technical writing skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or similar accredited engineering degree. Minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience with a minimum of three (3) years of project management experience.
