Civil/Environmental Engineering Intern - Spring 2024

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of civil and/or environmental engineering design.
• Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Understanding of civil and/or environmental engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
• Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and basic, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently within a team.
• Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Working understanding of policies and procedures for HSSE, including client-specific training (as required).
• Strong communication skills and customer service experience are desired.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Education and Experience 

• Currently pursuing or graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field OR an Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related program is required. 
• Previous construction observation experience is strongly preferred.
• Additional relevant experience is also preferred, including soil testing, surveying, drafting, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time. The position may involve extended working hours and periods of travel; including extended overnight stays out of town.
