Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience with climate resilience plans, disaster recovery or hazard mitigation plans, climate vulnerability assessments, and/or climate resilient corridor studies.
- Excellent computer, writing, and technical skills, including ArcGIS and the Adobe Suite
- Experience working with publicly available Census and climate data.
- Self-motivated and passionate about planning and equity
- Strong time management, critical thinking, research, and organizational skills
- The ability to work well with others, as well as independently
Education and Experience
- Applicants should be a current graduate student or recent graduate of an accredited master’s degree program in urban planning or public policy.
- Summer interns are expected to work 40 hrs/week minimum in the office.
Typical office environment working with computers. Some travel may be required (add in expected travel %), such as delivering plans or documents to reviewing agencies or clients or to attend meetings. May occasionally visit study areas, construction sites and/or be exposed to outside elements and inclement weather conditions.
