Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Self-Motivated with good work ethic are required
  • Ability to supervise, manage, and mentor junior staff (and others), in person and remotely.  
  • Efficient project execution of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Ability to develop high quality design plans, check the design work of others for accuracy and quality, and coordinate with autocad designers
  • Ability to work remotely from home including, working with remote teams, ensuring quality of work is kept, deadlines are met, and project delivered under budget.   
  • Understands client expectations, project budgeting, proposal writing, invoicing.
  • Technical expert in all relevant areas of design and understanding of various design methods.
  • Hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and modeling experience required using ICPR, PC-SWMM, and HEC-RAS
  • Watershed and Drainage Basin Evaluation and design experience
  • Construction Inspection and Administration for public infrastructure projects 
  • Experience developing technical reports and studies 
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Adobe Bluebeam, Microstation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams.
  • Candidate must have technical writing abilities
  • Preferred experience with relevant 2D, 3D platform (Autodesk and Bentley) design software, which may include AutoCAD Civil3D, InfoWORKS, PondKing, StormCAD, WaterCAD, Biowin, GPS-X, Visual MINTEQ and HADES, in accordance with expertise.
  • Self-confidence and strong people skills are needed
  • Must have a valid drivers license and safe driving record

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Master of Science in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or ability to obtain within one year
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
