Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and building control systems.
- Experience using tools like CxAlloy and software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings effectively.
Emotional Intelligence Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with attention to detail.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with self-motivation to excel.
Education and Experience
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer with 3+ of commissioning experience. Or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Building Science with 5+ years of commissioning experience.
Alternative Paths:
- Associate, Technical, or Vocational degree with 8+ years of commissioning experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in commissioning, testing, and balancing, or building automation trades may be substituted for Preferred education and experience listed above.
- Certification/Training: National Commissioning Certification – BCxP, CxA or CCP or ability and willingness to achieve certification within one year.
- Advanced Qualifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) is a plus.
