Your Opportunity

Our Construction Coordinators support the clients’ goals during the construction phase of a development project to ensure cost, schedule and quality standards are met for the project. Your technical knowledge and team-focused approach will enhance our mission to set the standard in our field for exceptional client service and professional excellence, as we grow to better serve clients, communities and provide greater opportunities for employees.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect contractor’s work for conformance with the approved documents.
  • Responsible for the establishment and implementation of the office procedures as they relate to the administration of construction contract.
  • Implement project controls for distribution and record keeping of construction drawings, construction contract correspondence, technical records, and other project documents.
  • Monitor contractor’s work for compliance with project safety standards.
  • Coordinate testing on projects.
  • Conduct regular (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) construction meetings with contractor, owner and stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly or semi-monthly payment requests.
  • Prepare and issue change orders on contract.
  • Conduct field evaluations and assessments as required.
  • Coordinate with the owner, the contractor and the design team.
  • Perform final inspections.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience with construction principals, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Understanding of basic construction surveying and staking procedures.
  • Ability to obtain MNDOT, NDDOT, and/or WISDOT Certifications.
  • Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team setting.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Education and Experience

Two-year degree in Civil Engineering technology or four-year degree in Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and construction experience
0-5 years of construction inspection experience or experience as a Construction Coordinator/Inspector.
Position will primarily work in a field setting; may require some office work.
