We provide services related to water resources, reservoirs and dams, water supply, wastewater networks and treatment, flood mitigation and river basin management.
Your Key Responsibilities
- You’ll provide single-point field inspection of the construction contractor’s work representing the Construction Manager in the field on water infrastructure projects.
- You’ll monitor the construction contractor’s work and prepare a comprehensive written Daily Report that includes such observation and description of all work activities.
- You’ll inspect and verify contractor compliance as detailed in the applicable procedural manual(s) and the Construction and Materials Specifications.
- You’ll communicate directly with construction contractors regarding conformance or non-conformance to standards, plans, specifications and codes.
- You’ll review any construction issues potentially resulting in an impact to the work of the Contractor which may result in a change to the contract.
- You’ll review and maintain master as-built and record drawing information maintained by the construction contractor.
- You’ll attend regular Progress Meetings with Contractor, including review of progress to planned schedule.
- You’ll assist with Developing project specific quality control and quality assurance documents and standards for projects that are under development.
- You’ll plan and coordinate all field testing and inspections in accordance with the Contract Documents.
- You’ll review and submit all test reports for inclusion in turnover documentation to Owner.
- You’ll prepare written reports documenting QA/QC inspections, non-compliance notices, and corrective actions.
- You’ll assist with authorized Force Account change order work performed on a time and materials basis, documenting the use of contractor labor, equipment and materials.
- You’ll review the monthly progress pay estimate submitting by the construction contractor to verify requests for payment of materials, percent complete and earned value.
- You prepare and monitor a project punch list for deficient or uncompleted work by the construction contractor.
Your Capabilities And Credentials:
- You’re able to work in a manner that ensures personal safety as well as the safety of fellow employees by following project and company health and safety guidelines and policies.
- You understand and interpret contract documents and test plan for a designated Work Package for a specific construction activity.
- You’re able to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agency.
Education & Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of construction project inspection experience required.
- Successful completion of Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology or Construction Management is preferred.
