Construction Manager
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Possess a strong background in the Construction / Contract Administration field with the ability to manage, train and lead a team of field staff.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal construction requirements including funding and contracting requirements.
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting which may include contractor, project team, and clients, and to engage in creative and critical thought and resolve conflict situations.
- Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the project team, obtaining and sharing necessary information.
- Strong organizational skills and understanding of task assignment and schedule.
- Strong knowledge of civil systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Understanding of all phases of engineering document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clear driving record, and ability to travel to project sites.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, Civil3D, GIS or other technical software preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. May require the ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods. You may be required at times to work on uneven terrain, on slopes and hills, in confined spaces and reinforced trenches.
