Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Effective leader and communicator with team and clients.
• Ability to grow, coach, and lead a team to support clients’ needs in the ND region. 
• Excellent cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team, and training, coordinating, and leading others in accomplishing work activities.
• Build a strong understanding of the ND sector, the Stantec’s business model, and where value and profit is created and lost.
• Requires advanced knowledge of local survey laws, surveying principles, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
• Demonstrates intermediate to advanced skills in survey processing software.
• Well-developed understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of survey work.
• Working knowledge of relevant technical software including but not limited to AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
• Working knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.
• Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
• Demonstrates strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.
• Ability to complete appropriate safety trainings (such as railroad safety) as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.  Technical Degree or bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, but not required, in Geomatics, Surveying or related field.  
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience; preferred 10 plus years of experience.

This position will have the opportunity to work either from home or in an office setting as needed for a particular project or client.
 

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
