Your Opportunity
This is a career opportunity for a Senior Cultural Resources Consultant to join Stantec’s leading environmental team in Georgia. The individual will lead business development, manage cultural resources projects, and work collaboratively with others in the southeastern cultural resource practice. This team provides NEPA/CEQA analyses, technical studies, and project permitting to a wide variety of private and federal, state, and local government clients.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and marketing by building new client relationships and maintaining existing ones throughout the southeast.
- Focus on development of the cultural resources practice by leading and collaborating on growing the cultural resources practice in Georgia in the utility industry (power and gas), transportation, renewable energy, private development, and local government.
- Maintain a high professional profile externally through membership in professional organizations, continually increasing client contact base.
- Project management responsibilities include developing proposals; managing projects and budgets; coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal project staff; and performing and overseeing project technical work.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Demonstrated business development and client management skills.
- Experience leading and conducting all phases of cultural resource work, Georgia knowledge required.
- Proven experience of positive relationship with Georgia State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and other regulatory agencies.
- Section 106 and 110 National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) consultation experience.
- Professional writing, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in archaeology or cultural resources related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ applicable experience with proven project management and program development experience.
- Secretary of the Interior Professional (SOI) qualified in archaeology or a related field.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
