Distribution Designer

• Working knowledge of design, construction, O&M of the overhead and underground distribution lines below 34.5 kV.
• Experience with electrical utilities is desirable. Experience with SDG&E and PG&E is a plus.
• Experience with IkeGPS or other GPS field data collection platform is desirable.
• PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and OCalc experience is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Office is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks / projects with various due dates.
• Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or ability to obtain one upon hiring.
• Travel should be expected.

We require, at minimum, a 2-year technical degree with one year of utility experience (electric, water, gas, or telecom). Bachelor Degree preferred in a related field of study (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical).

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
