Distribution Group Manager

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Strong communication skills, including an aptitude for effective leadership and people management.
• Good motivator of people, proven results in excellent staff engagement.
• Comprehensive understanding of all phases of utility distribution projects.
• Ability to effectively discuss project and technical issues with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent time-management skills; thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources.
• Working knowledge of electrical utility systems, policies and procedures including engineering standards.
• Understanding of power structure analysis software such as SpidaCalc or similar.
• Experience working with a major electrical utility and industrial power clients, with a focus on British Columbia and Alberta, experience on BC Hydro’s distribution system, including DAD and Passport, is considered a strong asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency/experience with Microsoft Outlook and Office, CAD software, utility GIS systems.

Education and Experience

• We require, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least eight years electric power utility experience. Degrees must be from an accredited university in a related field of study.

Typical office environment working with computers and sitting at a desk. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
