Electrical Designer

Your Capabilities and Credentials 

• Successful history of collaboration and teaming with electrical contractors on Design-Build projects or other alternate project delivery methods is preferred. 
• Experience in the built environment and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes.  
• Ability to integrate design elements with other disciplines. 
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards. 
• Deep understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and fire alarms systems for the built environment. 
• Strong knowledge of higher education, science & technology, commercial workplace and/or industrial market sectors including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers operating within these markets. 
• Ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects. 
• Strong client communication and interpersonal skills - Functional knowledge of recent versions of Revit MEP and Navisworks. 
• Strong working knowledge of AGI 32 (or equivalent), load analysis software, Microsoft Office, Newforma Project Center (or equivalent data management software) and Bluebeam. 
• Periodic travel may be required to meet engagement/client requirements - may include regional or national based on the contracted requirements.  

Education and Experience 

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering is required.
• A minimum of two years of related work experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
