Must possess and maintain a valid British Columbia Vehicle driver’s license in good standing.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Understanding of project management principles and processes would be an asset
- Working knowledge of MS Office, PLSCADD, PLSPOLE, AutoCadd or Microstation
- Knowledge of all applicable codes, acts, and regulations as they apply to the electric utility industry would be an asset
- Knowledge of Land Survey Act would be an asset
- Land and / or survey experience would be an asset Knowledge, skills and abilities: - Adaptability – ability to change and be flexible within a changing environment.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a large variety of clients and contractors
- Proven ability to work within a team environment or independently without direct supervision; this includes setting a good example, promoting and contributing to the success of the entire team.
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment in troubleshooting and problem solving. - Good organizational and time management skills, able to manage numerous assignments and competing demands.
Education and Experience
Must possess an Electrical Engineering technology diploma, or equivalent industry experience as a Journeyman Power Line Technician or Journeyman Electrician.Must have 2- 3 years of experience in distribution design for major utility which includes overhead and underground distribution system.
BC Hydro distribution design experience will be an asset.
Construction and operation experience of distribution system will be an asset.
Should understand various stages of project lifecycle.
Must possess and maintain a valid British Columbia Vehicle driver’s license in good standing.
