Electrical Designer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability in performing electrical power and lighting design.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and current industry codes/standards.
- Experience in the construction industry and/or basic knowledge of construction processes.
- Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
- Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Ability to take direction, follow process and accept feedback and suggestions from Senior Engineers
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
- Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material.
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively support internal and external team and client coordination
- Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Experience in one or many of our key markets of advanced industrial, mission critical facilities, higher education under DSA, Department of Defense / NAFEC, Entertainment & Hospitality, and Healthcare is a plus, but not required.
- Travel is required to meet engagement/client requirements - may include regional, national, or international based on the contracted requirements.
- Proactively pursues additional knowledge in related disciplines by attending available in house and external training.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 4+ years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated skills.
- EIT Registration is preferred
