Electrical Engineer/Designer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Self-starter, able to resolve engineering design issues and develop project scope documents, technical reports, cost estimates, and project proposals
- Participates and collaborates in a project team setting and engages in creative and critical thought
- Thorough understanding of design standards and codes for electrical power systems
- Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), National Electrical Code (NEC), and applicable energy codes
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications is an asset
- Record of successfully delivering projects on time and on budget, while maintaining high standards of quality
- Checks your own work for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet the project budget and schedule
- Willingness to learn is crucial
- Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is a requirement
Education and Experience
Electrical Engineer or EIT with 3 years or more experience
Electrical photovoltaic systems experience is required
Prior experience in consulting for an owner or EPC contactor an asset
Power systems studies experience an asset
Protection and Controls Experience would be an asset
Wind and/or battery storage experience would be an asset
Knowledge of PLSCADD and Pole line design is an asset
