Your Opportunity
Your Key Responsibilities
As a member of our Fredericton EI&C team, your responsibilities may include:
- Understanding and applying the Canadian Electrical Code and National Electrical Code to electrical design projects.
- Assisting in the design of electrical systems through equipment and load lists.
- Selecting, sizing, and routing power cables, cable tray, and conduit, and contributing to associated layout drawings.
- Contributing to electrical and control designs, construction cost estimates, and equipment specifications.
- Assembling electrical and controls installation work packages for electrical contractors.
- Assisting the design team in completing fundamental engineering tasks and conducting engineering design calculations.
- Collecting field information through site visits.
- Aiding in internal efforts to improve department operations, such as creating new tools, progressing new work methods, and advancing internal projects."
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Eligibility to Work: Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Travel Requirements: Please note that this role may require occasional travel.
- Driver’s License: Possession of a valid driver’s license is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Proactive, customer and quality focused attitude.
- Ability to solve problems using professional judgment, creativity and innovation.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Registered as or possess the eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training in the province of New Brunswick.
