Electrical Engineering - Team Lead

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Comprehensive knowledge and application of Canadian Electrical Code and applicable utility and transportation standards applicable to electrical and lighting system.
• General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications. 
• Knowledge of electrical systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Ability manage time to meet project budget and schedule. 
• Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Thorough understanding of electrical design concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others. 
• Demonstrated capacity of working in the design of exterior lighting and power systems.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills with a high focus of collaboration.
• Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with design software such as AGI32 for photometric calculations of luminance, illuminance, etc.
• Understanding of subsurface utility engineering (SUE).
• Preferred experience with design software, e.g. Revit, AutoCAD.

 
Education and Experience

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience. 
• Be considered a professional engineer in the field in electrical engineering , or an equivalent, with ability to authenticate prints. 
• Demonstration of existing supervisory skillsets will be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and design standards.
    

Flexible office environment to suit the employees preferred working environment of either full-time or part-time in the office. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
