Engineering Co-Op Student - Distribution (Summer 2024)

Your Capabilities and Credentials

The candidate must have a willingness and interest to learn or learn about:

• AutoCAD drafting software and principles.
• PLS-CADD line modelling software and principles.
• Canadian Standard Association (CSA) such as CSA C22.3 No.1:20 – Overhead Systems, CSA C22.3 No.7:20 - Underground Systems, practices, and applicable legislation.
• Design drawings for transmission and distribution projects.
• Project management systems.

The ideal candidate shall have and/or demonstrate:

• Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take direction as required.
• Technical proficiency, good understanding of engineering fundamentals and process improvement skills.
• Initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Experience/familiarity with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Education and Experience

To qualify for this position, the candidate must be enrolled in a recognized university or technical college in engineering disciplines associated with transmission lines (i.e. civil, electrical, or mechanical).
