Engineering Intern – Environmental Services -Summer 2024

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Sound understanding of water and or environmental related principles and engineering concepts, including related hydraulics and hydrologic principles and concepts.
  
• The ability to effectively communicate ideas and opinions.
  
• Knowledge of hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, including HydroCAD, AutoCAD, Civil3D, and GIS.
  
• Relevant office or field experience is a plus. Examples: Construction Surveying, Field Surveying, Field Sampling, Drafting.
  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Education and Experience

• Currently pursuing or graduated with a minimum of a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preference towards students pursuing emphasis areas of Civil, Water Resources, Geological/Mining, Transportation), Environmental Science, or related field.
  
• Relevant internships and work experience during school will be considered.
  
• Valid driver’s license.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Candidate must be willing and have the ability to travel, and on occasion, spend time working away from home office for extended periods of time.
