Entry Level I&C Technologist / EIT

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Registration as an EIT / TT is preferred. 
• Recognizes when issues or problems are developing and communicates to Lead for corrective actions.
• Checks own work for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule.
• Participates and collaborates in project team setting and to engages in creative and critical thought.
• Understands instrumentation and controls engineering concepts and can effectively communicate ideas to others.
• Possesses a strong desire to learn and work in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective communication in a remote ‘work-from-home’ scenario.
• Capable to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Willing to go the ‘extra mile’ to support projects, clients, and fellow employees.
• Familiarity with industry standards and applicable ISA, Canadian Electrical Code, CSA codes and standards is considered an asset.
• Field or fabrication shop experience is considered an asset.
• Intools (SPI) experience is an asset.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite is a requirement.
• Experience with AutoCAD is an asset.

Education and Experience

• Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Controls / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). 

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
