Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D is a primary requisite.
  • Basic experience with relevant drafting/design software, such as Revit, LandFX, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of design.
  • General technical understanding of construction means and methods, materials, building codes and code research.
  • Possess proficient hand drafting and sketching abilities resulting in strong conceptual designs.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with clients, consultants, contractors and design team members, internally, externally, and in the field.
  • Positive, open-minded, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Develops cooperative skills in working within a team dynamic and understanding of task assignments, budgeting, and project schedule.
  • Comfortable working within a team environment, as well as being productive independently with limited supervision.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about design, possesses strong time management, critical thinking, organizational skills, and has multitasking capabilities.
  • Multilingual skills a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with and ability to identify Florida plants a plus, but not required. 

Education and Experience

 

·         Must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university.

·         Minimum of 0-5 years of internship and/or full-time work experience.
