Show initiative in integrating creativity and innovation in all work tasks
Experience in environmental sampling, construction stormwater and environmental compliance monitoring.
Experience with Microsoft word and excel
Motivated/driven, conscientious, organized, and disciplined
Working experience at active construction sites
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Good driving record and valid driver’s license required
Willing to travel and able to be out-of-town for extended periods of time
Weekend work will be required
- Use of in-field sampling \ testing equipment such as pH monitors, HACH meters, colorimetric test kits, etc.
- Strong communication skills and be able to speak clearly, confidently and effectively with construction contractors, project teams and the AWH Team.
- Ability to understand a project’s environmental compliance needs, identify issues of non-compliance, coordinate to ensure needed corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner and follow through to ensure overall project success and compliance.
Education and Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an EI supporting linear construction projects
College degree with a concentration in earth science, natural or environmental science, or engineering from an accredited college.
40-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training
10-hour OSHA Construction training.
Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
