Environmental Planner - Mid-Level
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Required:
- 3+ years of experience performing environmental planning and permitting work for California IOUs.
- 5+ years of experience performing linear facility (i.e., utility or transportation) environmental planning and permitting work.
- Strong research, analysis and reporting abilities.
- Focused on detail-orientation skills and capable of managing large data sets.
- Are self-starting, team-oriented professional with excellent written and communication skills.
- Should be familiar with review and analysis of scientific data, maps, and drawings.
- Experience with permitting and CEQA.
- Provide support in delivering high quality work products to Stantec’s multi-disciplinary project teams.
Preferred:
- NEPA experience a plus.
- CWA 404/401 permitting a plus.
- CPUC experience a plus.
- CEC experience a plus.
- Ability to identify opportunities and build relationships with clients.
Education and Experience
Basic: BA/BS degree in Urban, Regional or Environmental Land Use Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or a related field. 5-8 years of experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Urban, Regional or Environmental Land Use Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or a related field.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
