Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Working understanding of policies and procedures for health, safety, security, and environmental protection (HSSE), including client-specific training (as required).
- Current 40-Hour OSHA Hazwoper training preferred.
- Working knowledge of field sampling techniques.
- Must have the willingness to learn new skills while conducting field work and flexibility in undertaking work assignments and work independently for long hours in the field as necessary.
- Experience/knowledge of hazardous materials.
- Some experience with environmental regulations, including the Massachusetts Contingency Plan.
- Excellent writing skills and verbal communication skills.
- Initiative in integrating creativity and innovation in all work tasks.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Conscientious, organized, and disciplined.
- Open minded and curious; an ability to focus on possibilities, not preconceived solutions.
- Ability to build and maintain productive professional and personal networking relationships within the technical team and Business Center.
- Knowledge of use of field equipment, GIS-related mobile data collection, reporting software (e.g., Parcel)and GINT for borehole logs is an asset
- Working knowledge of GIS and/or CADD preferred.
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related degree. Minimum of 2-6 years’ work experience.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
