• Demonstrate knowledge of applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure and within short timelines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is an asset
• Be conscientious, organized, and disciplined
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a federal reliability security clearance
• Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs

Education and Experience

• The successful applicant will have some combination of the following educational background and work experience:
• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar discipline or Diploma in an applicable environmental discipline.
• Prior experience in an engineering or consulting environment is an asset.

This position will involve a combination of field and office work. The typical office environment will involve working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods. Fieldwork may include travel to remote locations in (road or air), exposure to the elements including inclement weather, working at heights or in crawlspaces, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including the use of respiratory protection (e.g., respirators). Evening and weekend work may be required.
