Federal Master Planner
Your Capabilities and Credentials
The successful candidate has knowledge of planning principals, best practices, and techniques of planning; passion for working on urban design and planning projects and related military base/regional/global enterprise studies; knowledge of or direct experience with Installation Development Plans, Area Development Plans, Installation Planning Standards, and/or facilities planning and programming actions (DD1391s, Basic Facilities requirements, etc.); demonstrated experience facilitating charrettes; and the ability to engage and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to prepare a range of master planning products.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability and willingness to travel worldwide (must be able to pass background checks) – moderate travel required
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have a current passport
- Position requires a drug screen
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in community/urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years experience
- Relevant federal agency, military master planning, project/base development, and related project/studies experience
- Relevant project management experience preferred
- Relevant certification (AICP, RA, RLA, PE) or ability/willingness to obtain within 1 year preferred.
