Field Laborer - Natural Resources Areas

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Experience with conducting aquatic vegetation control/native and invasive species plant identification a plus, but not required 
• Ability to traverse wet and/or rugged terrain in diverse, sometimes inclement, weather conditions while carrying up to 50 lbs
• Ability to swim
• Experience operating basic hand tools and smaller equipment such as backpack sprayers, augers, chainsaws, and/or brushcutters
• Availability and willingness to be adaptable to schedule changes upon short notice, is a plus
• Must be able to work in an environment where safety is at the forefront of all operations
• Technicians will be given the opportunity to obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicator's Certifications in Categories of Aquatics and Natural Areas
• Valid Driver's License with the ability to drive a company vehicle and an acceptable motor vehicle record 
• Experience with operating equipment such as ATVs/UTVs, boats, airboats, tractors, chippers, and/or skid steers a plus
• Experience with herbicide handling, application, and application equipment a plus
• Experience in map reading, GIS, and/or operating a GPS Standard First Aid, CPR, and/or Red Card a plus
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Education

• High school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree in environmental discipline helpful but not required
