In this varied position, you will implement several geophysical and geotechnical techniques, both in the acquisition of field data and in the analysis and presentation of results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, test and supervise geophysical and geotechnical data acquisition programs.
  • Conduct site planning (budget, schedule, equipment, resources, etc.).
  • Maintain and calibrate geophysical equipment.
  • Field data acquisition and quality control.
  • Perform data processing and interpretation using industry standard geophysical and geotechnical software and participate in the preparation of deliverables.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in geological engineering, engineering physics, geology or other relevant discipline and master’s degree in geophysics (asset).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the realization of geophysical studies applied to engineering projects.

Knowledge of several geophysical methods: seismic refraction, MASW, electrical resistivity imaging, gpr, downhole seismic, vibration monitoring and follow-up, borehole logging seismic reflection (asset).
