Stantec, a global design leader, has an immediate opening for an experienced Geologist, Hydrogeologist, or Geological Engineer in one of our Wisconsin based offices. Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation and management of brownfield, property redevelopment, and/or contaminant investigation and remediation projects.
- Prepare project deliverables including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, quarterly progress reports, sampling and analysis plans, site investigation reports and remedial action plans in whole or in part, depending on the size and complexity of the document.
- Participate in workplan preparation including development of conceptual site models.
- Participate in proposal preparation (work scope, task-level budgeting, cost estimates), may perform calculations, gather, or review information, or prepare standard sections of proposals.
- Analysis and interpretation of environmental data.
- Coordinate subcontractors (such as analytical laboratories, private locators, and drillers) while performing office assignments.
- Experience with construction oversight, remediation system operation and maintenance activities a plus, but not required.
- Periodic travel/field work may be required for the purpose of leading field crews, performing environmental monitoring, or off-site meetings with clients and/or regulatory agencies.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proficient in policies and procedures related to health and safety and applies these policies and procedures as appropriate to their work.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
- Skilled in technical writing.
- Able to communicate technical information with clients, engineers and scientists, government regulators and agencies, and academia, as well as non-technical communication to the public.
- Able to build strong relationships with key clients with respect to their technical area and the broader business objectives in their regions.
- Able to build and maintain productive professional and personal networking relationships.
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or related discipline required.
- Minimum of 4 years of related Wisconsin specific experience required; additional experience preferred.
- Professional license (PG or EIT/PE) desirable.
