Geotechnical Designer

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Exceptional technical writing, organizational and communication skills, ability to complete accurate and precise analysis and verify results, a deep commitment to technical excellence and innovative solutions. Specific education and/or experience with machine learning and remote sensing applications.
• Experience with mine geotechnical investigation, analysis, design, construction, performance monitoring and mitigation of tailings and water dams, pit walls, and rock storage facilities. 
• Ability to work independently and make sound risk-based decisions in the office and in the field.
• Ability to mentor younger professionals.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of an M.S. in Civil Engineering with preference given to Ph.D.
• 5+ years of experience working on civil and/or mine geotechnical engineering projects. Advanced education will be considered as part of required experience for degrees which focus on our required area of expertise – machine learning and remote sensing applications for geohazard and geotechnical applications. 
• Existing professional registration (EIT) or ability to obtain within 3-6 months of starting work. 
• Valid driver’s license.
